Pepa and the Spirits it´s a children book that I´ve been wanting to do for a long time. It explores self acceptance and the idea of a chosed family, as well as the lost of the oral cuture, folklore and legends in Spain. I´ve been obsesed with some stories and costumes from a mascarade from the north of Spain for a while, and I needed to give them shape and bring them into a story. When I found out about the Corozas, I finally found my main character. 

It´s a self published, full color book, that also includes some exploration process images. The paintings are done traditionally with colored acrylic inks mixed with markers, crayons, color pencils and gouache and then slightly adjusted digitaly. A bit of everything!
